CHANGING LIVES IN GRENADA

Kathy Tuccaro with kids in Grenada

I have been to a few different countries, but none have touched me such as Grenada did. From the first moment I landed in April 2017, I fell in love with the people and the island. Although there are many beautiful islands in the Caribbean, there is something purely magical that hangs in the air of Grenada. Did I mention that Chocolate grows on trees?

I am spellbound by the smiling children despite their desperate situations living in poverty. They are surrounded by sexual predators and someone needs to stand up for them. I know I am that person. My goal is to raise $500,000 to start a home for children needing a safe place to live without the fear of being molested. I want to provide them a loving environment that is filled with education, growth and hope. I cannot do this alone and need the assistance of anyone who is caring enough to help with this cause.

I realize there are many different worthy causes in the world to donate to, but this little island of paradise is so much more than it appears to be. I go there regularly to work with the youth and women in the shelter. I have partnered with Seville M.C. Francis, President of the Mt Rich Youth Cultural & Development Organization, and together we are creating literacy programs to benefit the women in Cedar’s Home for Abused Women and their Children, as well as Education on Child Sexual Abuse.
